Oxford Brookes Business School, Oxford Brookes University has officially received re-accreditation from the Association of MBAs (AMBA), one of the world’s leading authorities in post-graduate business education, demonstrating its continuing commitment to excellence in management education.
Upon receiving AMBA accreditation, all current MBA & MBM and recent MBA & MBM alumni of Oxford Brookes Business School are invited to join AMBA’s global member community of more than 60,000 students and alumni in more than 150 countries on a free basis, for networking, thought leadership, career development, and a variety of benefits.
Accreditation from the Association of MBAs represents the highest standard of achievement in post-graduate business education. Its rigorous assessment criteria ensure that only the highest-calibre programmes which demonstrate the best standards in teaching, curriculum, and student interaction achieve Association of MBAs accreditation.
The Oxford Brookes Business School is primarily based in Oxford, UK. The school offers 27 master’s programmes delivered on campus. The school also offers a Global MBA delivered on a blended basis, and two doctoral programmes – PhD, and Doctor of Coaching and Mentoring (DCM). The school has two international partners who deliver programmes on a franchise basis – Chengdu University of Technology, China, and Metropolitan College, Greece.
During the accreditation process conducted by AMBA, members of the accreditation panel, representing senior management from globally accredited business schools, commended the strength and enthusiasm of the leadership of the school which has created a demonstrable positive impact and clear cultural change. Alongside this, the panel noted that the commitment of faculty and support staff at the school ensures a positive student experience through pastoral care and interaction.
Additionally, the flexibility of the MBA programmes was seen to be appreciated by the students and assisted in their learning needs.
Finally, the judges commended the quality of the school’s facilities which they thought created a positive learning environment for students both on and off campus.
Professor Nick Wilton, Dean of Oxford Brookes Business School said: “We are delighted that we have secured re-accreditation for our Global MBA and MSc International Business Management programmes. This outcome serves as testament to both the quality of our teaching, learning and student support, and the talents and commitment of our academic and professional services staff. We’re also grateful to the peer review team who conducted our accreditation visit in a constructively challenging manner which will support the school in the continued development of our professional education portfolio’.
AMBA accreditation is international in scope and reach, and AMBA works under the belief that accredited programmes should be of the highest standard and consider changing trends and innovation in post-graduate management education. Its accreditation process reflects this commitment to fostering innovation, and demanding business schools to perform at the highest level continually.
Andrew Main Wilson, Chief Executive of the Association of MBAs and Business Graduates Association (BGA) said: “Congratulations to Oxford Brookes Business School for receiving this re-accreditation. AMBA only accredits the top 2% of business schools world-wide and it is fitting that the Oxford Brookes Business School is within the network. I particularly applaud the school’s drive and commitment to creating a valuable experience for students, especially in allowing for such flexibility in the MBA.”
